Windows Mobile

Windows Mobile is a mobile operating system developed by Microsoft, Windows Mobile products like Sagem myS-7, O2 Xphone etc.. The operating system is successfully developed and applied starting from the Pocket PC 2000 to Windows Mobile version 6.5.5. Although there are several advantages such as GPS, can watch television, mobile blogs, mobile database, but the weakness of Windows Mobile is a minimal independent developers. Because the regulations that implement Microsoft's Windows Mobile are closed.

It is not profitable for the Windows Mobile market because their products are minimal developers resulting in lack of applications that can be developed. So that Windows Mobile can not compete with other smartphones, especially for vendors who implement the system is open to any developer willing to develop an operating system, such as Andorid.
Verizon introduces the HTC Rezound (codenamed Vigor), the first smartphone in the US to feature Beats Audio integration. With Beats Audio integration, the new phone has “unique audio tuning by Beats that delivers thundering bass, soaring midrange and crisp highs”, and comes with the new lightweight Beats headphones with built-in microphone and in-line remote control.

The HTC Rezound features a 4.3-inch 720p HD touchscreen, an 8 Megapixel camera featuring Full HD 1080p video recording, autofocus, dual LED flash, a f/2.2 and 28mm wide-angle lens with BSI sensor, a 2 Megapixel front-facing camera, a16GB internal memory and a microSD card slot with 16GB microSD pre-installed. The Rezound is powered by a Qualcomm MSM 8660 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM, and runs Andorid 2.3 with HTC Sense UI.

HTC’s new Beats Audio smartphone supports Verizon’s LTE 4G network, in addition to 3G CDMA EVDO, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS/AGPS, and WiFi 802.11b/g/n It includes Mobile High Definition Link (MHL) connectivity, so customers can watch content from the device on an HDTV, including 5.1 surround sound and SRS WOW HD surround to take advantage of a home theater setup. Coming on 14 November, the HTC Rezound is priced at $299.99.

Garmin Edge 200 Cycling GPS Device

Garmin announced its Edge 200, a lightweight, stylish GPS-enabled cycling computer. Designed for those budget conscious cyclists looking for the basics — speed, distance, time and calories, the device packs a high-sensitivity GPS receiver with HotFix satellite prediction, meaning there’s less time spent waiting and more time spent riding. It has a 128×160 display.

The Edge 200 requires no calibration, can be switched quickly and easily between bicycles and can be used in all types of weather (IPX7). It can store up to 130 hours of ride data and offers up to 14 hours of batteruy life. The Edge 200 also allows users to set alerts for distance, time or calories to make it easier and more fun to achieve their goals. There is also a function called Courses that lets riders challenge their times on previous rides.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Active, Active Xperia is an Android designed resilient.Xperia Active claimed waterproof to a depth of 1 meter within a half hour and also dustproof.

Features in Sony Ericsson Active Xperia include a 1GHz processor, 3 inch screen HVGA Reality Display, GPS, barometer, compass,measuring heart rate, wrist strap, up inside the Xperia, and a 5MP camera with HD video recording capabilities.

T-Mobile Android Powered Garminfone


T-Mobile has officially released the Android powered Garminfone.  This is the first Android smartphone that can also act as a Garmin GPS device.  The Garminfone is all about navigation and it’s packed with some great features.

Android users are already familiar with Google Navigation which offers a pretty decent navigation experience.  The Garminfone goes a step above that with more detailed voice guided turn-by-turn directions.  You can even record your own custom voice with the Garmin Voice Studio.  The Garminfone also comes with Garmin’s location based services that let you access real time traffic, weather and gas prices.  More than likely you will want to mount this phone somewhere in your car.  Thankfully the Garminfone comes with its own car mount kit with a built-in charger which is perfect for when you are using it as a GPS unit.
