Innovation Smartphone

Innovation Smartphone that we buy today, it could be ancient smartphones coming the next day because the latest version. This is actually just a metaphor that shows how quickly change the smartphone market

Towards the turn of the year to 2012, let's look a little backward, a variety of smartphone innovation in 2011. There are at least 5 things stand out that has changed the smartphone market this year.
  • Dual-core era

Currently, most of the high-end smartphones equipped with dual-core processor in it. Leap from single-core processors to dual-core 1GHz 1GHz dual-core and even 1.5 GHz, happened so fast.

This processor is mostly supplied from Qualcomm, AMD, Broadcom, Nvidia and Texas Instruments. Substitution of processors, has presented the dramatic developments in the smartphone's performance and enable various features work more optimally.
  • Screen capable of High-Definition (HD)

When Apple introduced the first iPhone in 2007, the public was surprised by the presence of a touch screen measuring 3.5 inch. At that time, the size is quite large so beat other smartphones.

Five years later, Apple does not enlarge the size of the smartphone screen - at least until recently - but other smartphone vendors compete to release a smartphone with a larger screen size began 4.0 to 4.7 inch.

In addition to a larger size, screen smartphone is also equipped with HD capabilities. With dual-core processor, the smartphone has the power display exceptional picture quality on the screen of this type. HD screen can display 3D content that is currently favored.
  • Additional frills 'G'

This one, it seems still not to be present in the country. But abroad, many carriers began to compete to deliver quality services 4G network.

Starting many smartphones that include the ability 4G or LTE as the allure of selling them. Operators from the United States (U.S.) Sprint and T-Mobile, has been sold since mid-2010 4G devices.

4G frills attached, promising smartphone has network access and data over 'speeding' than 3G. In addition to Sprint and T-Mobile, other U.S. carriers AT & T and Verizon Wireless is also working with handset vendors to offer 4G smartphone.
  • Millions of applications

Apple created a trend of smartphone applications in 2008 when it launched its App Store, which was originally intended to provide an application for the iPhone. Furthermore, the App Store to store all applications for Apple gadgets. This step is then followed by other smartphone vendors.

Throughout 2011, App Store and Android Market for Android smartphones to store applications that are competing in the mobile applications market. Both applications provide more numerous than for other platforms.

Late last year, Google announced Android users have downloaded 10 billion applications. While Apple, announced last July IOS-based device users have downloaded 15 billion applications.
  • Consolidation platform

Early 2011, there are six major platforms are active in the smartphone market that is IOS, Android, BlackBerry OS, Symbian, Windows Phone and webOS. Of the six mobile OS, the webOS have run aground. The reason, Hewlett-Packard decided to no longer produce webOS-based smartphones and tablets.

Indeed, webOS is now granted to the open source community. But the continuation of her fate is unclear. Symbian, its future is doubtful many parties. But at least the platform is still 'treated' the Finnish vendor Nokia although it has been switched on Windows Phone.

As a result, entered 2012 only four major players remaining. BlackBerry still survive to compete with strong competitors IOS, Android and Windows Phone.

Blackberry vs Apple & Android

Blackberry vs Apple & Android, The analysts who assess business performance of Research In Motion (RIM) fell below forecasts, said that the latest achievement of this BlackBerry manufacturer should be alert to problems that may befall him.

As is known, with his BlackBerry, RIM dominates the smartphone market is recognized in corporate circles. Companies that in the first quarter of fiscal year 2012 is shipped 13.2 million BlackBerry is then increasingly broaden its appeal to consumers in a wider audience.

But lately, RIM began to attract consumers because of cell phone difficulties, not considered 'sexy', especially when compared with its main competitor, the iPhone and Android smartphone. Analysts rate, the achievement of RIM shows how Canadian companies are struggling in competition with the iPhone and Android smartphone.

Almost the same thing happened on the tablet, the BlackBerry Playbook. RIM co-CEO Jim Balsillie RIM hopes the launch of the flagship tablet can improve the situation. In the first quarter of fiscal year 2012, the new RIM shipped 500 thousand units of Playbook.

RIM hopes, earnings for the second quarter of fiscal 2012 which ended on August 27, 2011 could be in the range of EUR 4.2 - EUR 4.8 billion.

Previously, RIM released data stating that in the first quarter of fiscal year 2012 the company recorded a revenue of this company's USD 4.9 billion. This achievement grew 16% over the same quarter last year, but decreased 12% when compared to the previous quarter.

Greg Taylor, an analyst at Aurion Capital Management even mention these results indicate that RIM will not release a new device for this quarter.

"Everyone wants to have the latest and best, and they do not have any for sale now," Taylor attack.(source : detikinet.com )

BlackBerry PlayBook

RIM enters the tablet scene with the seven-inch BlackBerry PlayBook, which marks a handful of firsts. For the venerable mobile maker, the PlayBook is its first tablet, and it is also arguably the first BlackBerry product marketed for its consumer appeal. I’ve had RIM reps tell me that the PlayBook could be the first BlackBerry product many consumers own.

The PlayBook is also the first tablet running RIM’s new BlackBerry Tablet OS, which is based on QNX Neutrino (found in embedded applications, including in-car systems and the international space station). It is designed to be especially flexible and handle true multitasking.

Finally, it’s the first major, touch-based mobile tablet to contend with both Google Android and Apple iOS while also trying to elbow in on the Windows 7 slates currently targeting the enterprise.

Google, with its hardware partners, and Apple have spent the last year polishing and perfecting their tablet offerings, RIM is just getting started with its. Does the PlayBook contend out of the gate? Or is this first-generation tablet no good?

Google Instant Messenger

Google appears to have jumped on the exclusive instant messaging bandwagon, meaning one that is built into an OS. The trend began with BlackBerry Messenger.

Apple recently announced iMessage to be integrated into the iOS 5 and now, according to sources familiar to the matter, Google may have decided to develop something similar seeing the success of BlackBerry Messenger as well as the growing interest for iMessage.Currently, Android users have the text-only Google Talk client, seeing that instant messaging was hardly Google’s top priority.

The idea may sound pointless initially, but with users using the same platform, the sending of SMSes can be limited as instant messaging comes without extra charges or character limits, only requiring an internet connection. Free messaging services such as WhatsApp in the Netherlands have been adopted quickly by the younger generation, increasing such services’ market share. Carriers are of course, not very taken with the idea, some even saying that ‘not everyone would use the messaging services instead of SMS’. If and when over-the-web messaging clients are built into every phone, they will surely want to limit it as net neutrality laws are still far from established.Google Instant Messenger

Because carrying the family name 'storm', the BlackBerry Storm 3 course is designed with full touch screen navigation. Unlike the first version that relies on Storm SurePress technology, Storm 3 in the video can be seen already switched to a capacitive touch screen technology.

As a result, when the touch screen capabilities on display, running so smoothly follow the direction of sweep of the fingers is running.

Research In Motion (RIM) complete the Storm 3 with a trackpad and four basic buttons at the bottom of the face, namely that serves to lift and close the phone, menu and back buttons.
Storm 3 comes with 3.7-inch screen, carries a BlackBerry OS 6 and reinforced with 1.2 GHz processor. The cameras are buried is still limited to 5 megapixels, but it is claimed can record video with 720p capability.

Certainty is expressed RIM co-CEO Mike Lazaridis in carpet BlackBerry World 2011, held in Orlando, United States.
